Case: You want to send the user to a specific page after user registration.

Why: You want to make a more user friendly registration progress, and/or need a unique page in the registrations progress to make use of Google Goals in Google Analytics.

Solution: First of all, you need to install the custom destination module. It helps you make a redirect from any form submit. Download the module, install it, and we are ready to go. Then you have to make the /thank-you-for-registration page where you want the users to be redirected after submitting the registration form.

To set up the custom destination module all you need is the form id and the URL of the new landing page. The form id can be found in the HTML source code of the specific page with the form. In case of the user registration form, the id is “user_registration”. In this specific case of the user registration form, the id you must use, in order to make it work, is “user-registration”.

Now make a new item in the custom destination module, and plot in “user-registration” as id, and the name of the landing page. Click save, and we got a winner.

Remember you can use the module to make redirects of all your forms. Just find the id of the form in eg. Firebug for Firefox and type in another landing page. Good luck
